RENO, Nev., May 18 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois received 14 national convention delegates at Saturday's Nevada state Democratic convention.

Rival Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York received 11 delegates, The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Sunday.

Obama had the support of 55 percent of the 2,510 state convention delegates, while Clinton had 45 percent support, the newspaper reported.

By comparison, on Jan. 19, Clinton had 51 percent support, while Obama had 45 percent, which would have given Obama 13 national delegates and Clinton 12.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told convention-goers the primary battle would be over soon.

"I know there's tremendous anxiety. People want this over," Reid said. "This primary election is going to be over very soon, and we're going to march forward united to victory."

Reid, an unaligned superdelegate himself, said he would push all the superdelegates to declare their candidate preference after the final primary June 3.
