PITTSBURGH, May 21 (UPI) -- Ben Sheets went the distance while throwing 123 pitches Wednesday, boosting Milwaukee to a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Sheets (5-1) allowed 11 hits, struck out five and retired the side in order just once. It was his second complete game of the season and the 15th of his career.
Milwaukee won its second straight on the heels of a five-game losing streak.
The setback went to Ian Snell (2-3), who gave up four runs on nine hits in six innings. Only two of the runs were earned.
Rickie Weeks hit a solo homer for the Brewers and scored twice.
Weeks reached on a fielding error to open the fifth, stole second and gave Milwaukee a 2-1 lead when he scored on a triple by Ryan Braun. Weeks hit his homer in the sixth to give the Brewers a 4-1 lead.
